Today, environmental justice communities face challenges as never before. Our communities are disproportionately vulnerable to climate change and toxic pollution, but now they are also coping with unemployment, lack of health care, chronic health conditions, and much more. At EHC, we are adjusting to meet this crisis head-on. Our work thrives on community relationships and face-to-face meetings but now those faces are over Zoom and voices over the phone. Our Organizers are reaching out to community leaders and members to ensure that everyone is counted in the 2020 census and is voicing their need for better transit. We urge you to stay active and participate in EHC’s efforts through our emails, website, and social media. The outpouring of support from local non-profit organizations, government agencies, and the philanthropic sector inspires us to continue our human rights work with even greater urgency as we tackle the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you for your continued support. I wish you good health and strength to face the challenges today and in the future. We are all in this together, Diane Takvorian Executive Director
