Environmental Health Coalition is a San Diego/Tijuana non-profit social and environmental justice organization dedicated to empowering people, organizing communities and achieving justice for low-income communities of color. We are an effective, results-oriented organization with a passion for social change. We've been making a difference in the lives of the individuals, families and communities we serve for over 30 years. Finance & Administration Director

EHC and the California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) have created a new position, the Finance & Administrative Director (FAD) that is a shared position (50/50) between EHC and CEJA. The FAD will play a significant role in managing the financial, administration and human resources programs necessary to CEJA’s success. As part of the EHC team, the FAD will provide financial, administration and human resources management. As a part of the CEJA team, the FAD will lead CEJA’s transition to a 501(c)(3) organization, and ultimately manage CEJA’s Administrative functions at the conclusion of the incorporation process.

 

Air Quality Director

The Air Quality Director (AQD) is a position for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage a multi-faceted workload. The AQD works to advance policies and projects that reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transportation and stationary sources. The AQD focuses on low-income communities of color that are the most impacted by these sources and works with community leaders to identify key issues and community-driven solutions.

 

Campaign Director - Toxic Free Neighborhoods (TFN) Campaign

The Campaign Director focuses on low-income communities of color that are the most impacted by air pollution, climate change, and discriminatory land use practices, and works with community leaders to identify key issues and community-driven solutions. With community leaders and allied organizations, the Campaign Director conducts policy advocacy to influence local governments and state regulatory and legislative bodies to reduce impacts in low-income communities of color in the San Diego region.

 

Regional Community Organizer

The Regional Organizer works to build an educated, trained and active base of leaders, residents, members, and allies throughout the San Diego/Tijuana region, in areas not considered EHC’s Core Communities. The Regional Organizer serves as the Voter Empowerment/United to Vote Field Manager to coordinate the civic engagement program during election cycles, primarily in EHC’s core communities.

 

Policy Advocate - National City

The Policy Advocate (PA) promotes policy change to reduce impacts and benefit low-income communities of color in the San Diego region by advocating to influence local governments and state regulatory and legislative bodies.
