AB 423, a new bill introduced by California Assemblymember Todd Gloria and sponsored by EHC, seeks to reform the governing board of the San Diego Air Pollution Control District (APCD). The current air district board is comprised only of the five members of the County Board of Supervisors.
San Diegan's need a diverse APCD board that includes representation from the cities and communities most impacted by some of the worst air pollution in California.
Take action to reform the APCD.
Some San Diegans face a human cancer risk of 300 per million. Children in areas such as Barrio Logan and Logan Heights have three times the rate of asthma emergency room visits than other areas.
