On September 14, 2021, there will be an election to decide if California’s current Governor, Democrat Gavin Newsom, will be removed from office or continue to lead the state. This is called a recall. Voting yes on the recall means you want Governor Newsom removed from office. Voting NO on the recall means you want Governor Newsom to remain Governor. Who is supporting the recall (vote YES on the recall)? The Republican National Committee, California Republican Party, and other conservative organizations. Who is opposing the recall (vote NO on the recall)? California Democratic Party, Dolores Huerta, Senator Bernie Sanders, Stacy Abrams, labor groups, healthcare workers, Environmental Health & Justice Campaign, and others. This election comes at a critical time in our history as we recover from a devastating pandemic. The stakes are high. You and your community deserve to have a say in the outcome.
