Council Turns Thumbs Down On Lead-based Paint Ordinance
After six years of studies and recommendations, the San Diego City Council has come up with an ordinance to protect children from lead-based paint. Fifty children in San Diego were diagnosed with lead poisoning last year, and a thousand others were exposed.
