The South Bay Power Plant Must Stop Devastating San Diego Bay!

On September 8 the Regional Water Quality Control Board will consider a new water discharge permit for the South Bay Power Plant. The draft permit is not adequate to protect the Bay.

Join EHC in demanding a permit that will protect the Bay now, not later!

EHC demands that:

• The Regional Board adopt a permit that incudes protective and stringent standards
  
• Operation of the power plant must not deplete the oxygen levels in South Bay or heat the water to high temperatures
  
• Duke Energy, the operator of the plant, must mitigate its damage to the Bay's ecosystem.
